In one week, Cameron had a chance to attend game one of the World Series, enjoy Disney World and meet Winter the Dolphin. Try to find any other kid in the world who can say he did that! Cameron says his very favorite memory of the year was meeting Winter the Dolphin.
Cameron is now in fourth grade! He played all kinds of sports this year including baseball (spring and fall ball), soccer and flag football. Cam also competed in his first triathlon this summer. We're incredibly proud to see how he and his sister turned into true swimmers this year. Also, if you play a game of chess with Cam, he'll probably beat you. Cameron had a chance to enjoy all kinds of outdoor fun in Maine this year. There were many new hiking and biking trails to discover. Cam also got to fight a pirate during a small town Maine pirate invasion! Cam says his trip to Camp No Limits this year was awesome. There is a growing number of kids who are attending with their siblings. That makes our adventures even more fun. |
Cam is also growing as a performer in the world of theater. He had the lead role in a weeklong theater camp this summer in a production of Treasure Island. Cameron took charge and learned songs, many lines and a dance in that week. We're also looking for new ways to help expand his love of piano and music.
Cameron periodically posts updates on his personal blog. Right now it's called NerdyMom and Cam but we're open for new ideas on what we should call it next. This year, Cameron took over as the site's main author. Feel free to email Cam if you'd like to send him a direct message (although Mom manages the email so she'll probably read it first). By the way, if you haven't had a chance to be around Cameron recently, you may not know he has a great sense of humor. Here's a funny little moment while we were at Disney World during a Halloween party. Cam was a Stormtrooper and was enjoying the green screen at the end of the Space Mountain ride: |
